Product Details
Remove stains caused by algae & mildew without pressure washing
Green algae is one of the most common causes of slippery patios, walkways, driveways, pool decks, and other outdoor living spaces. During wet weather, algae grows on damp surfaces, leaving behind unsightly green stains that can make your property look neglected and slippery underfoot.
Grean Boss is specially formulated to remove stains caused by green algae and mildew without the need for pressure washing. Unlike traditional cleaners, Grean Boss is a simple spray-and-leave treatment that works over a few days following application. It breaks down stains caused by algae and other green matter.
The result is a cleaner, safer outdoor space with minimal effort and no pressure washing required.

How to Use Grean Boss
What You'll Need
- A 5–7 liter (1½–2 gallon) pump-up garden sprayer
We recommend wearing old clothes and waterproof boots during application.
Step 1 – Choose the Right Day
Apply Grean Boss on a dry day when no rain is forecast for at least 48 hours.
Step 2 – Mix the Solution
Fill your pump sprayer with 2 liters of clean water, then carefully add 1 liter of Grean Boss. Always add the product after the water to reduce foaming.
Step 3 – Apply the Product
Spray the solution generously onto the affected surface, treating no more than approximately 160 sq. ft. (15 m²) at a time. Ensure all green staining is thoroughly saturated.
Step 4 – Continue Across the Surface
Repeat the process until the entire area has been treated.
Step 5 – Let It Work
Leave Grean Boss to work naturally over the next 3–5 days.
As it works, Grean Boss breaks down stains caused by green algae and mildew. Rain, wind, and natural weathering will gradually wash away the dead organic growth, revealing a cleaner surface without the need for pressure washing.
Step 6 – Re-Treat as Needed
Areas that remain damp or heavily shaded may develop new algae staining over time. Simply reapply Grean Boss to these areas whenever needed to maintain a clean, algae-free finish.
How Do I Maintain My Outdoor Surfaces?
To keep your patios, walkways, and other outdoor surfaces looking their best:
- Sweep away leaves and organic debris regularly.
- Treat new green algae before it becomes established.
- Keep damp, shaded areas as clear as possible to reduce future growth.
- Avoid applying sealers, as they will not prevent algae from growing and may alter the natural appearance of your stone or pavers.
- Reapply Grean Boss as needed, particularly during the wetter months, to keep surfaces clean and free from slippery green buildup.

No. Grean Boss is a spray-and-leave treatment, so there's no need to pressure wash or scrub the surface. Once applied, it works over the next 3–5 days to break down stains caused by green algae and mildew.
How long does Grean Boss take to work?
Grean Boss begins working immediately after application. Visible improvements typically appear within 3–5 days, depending on the amount of algae present and the weather conditions.
Will it remove black spot lichen?
No. Grean Boss is specifically formulated to remove stains caused by green algae and mildew. For black spot lichen, we recommend using one of our Patio Cleaners.
Is it safe for pets and plants?
Yes. Grean Boss is biodegradable, acid-free, and safe to use around your yard when applied correctly.
Avoid spraying the concentrated product directly onto plants or grass. Once the treated surface has dried, it is safe for pets to return.
Where can I use Grean Boss?
Grean Boss is suitable for use on patios, driveways, walkways, pool decks, pavers, concrete, brick, roof shingles, retaining walls, fences and many other outdoor hard surfaces affected by green algae or mildew.
Should I seal my patio after using Grean Boss?

Instead, simply reapply Grean Boss whenever green algae begins to reappear to keep your property looking clean and well maintained.
